July 1, 2019 – Clayton & Little (Austin and San Antonio) has been recognized with a 2019 National Small Project Award from the American Institute of Architects (AIA) for their Saxum Vineyards Equipment Barn located on Saxum Vineyard in Paso Robles, California.

The Saxum Vineyard Equipment Barn is a simple agricultural structure that speaks to the winery’s commitment to sustainability and subservience to the natural landscape. Off-the-grid and completely self-sustaining, the building is conceived as a modern pole barn, the reclaimed oil field pipe structure provides an armature for a photovoltaic roof and covered storage for equipment, workshop and maintenance space, and storage for livestock supplies.
