Brasserie Mon Chou Chou
San Antonio, Texas
“Mon Chou Chou,” an affectionate French term of endearment for a loved one, evokes the vision of three Frenchmen who found friendship in San Antonio and bonded over their love of country and its food. Together, they sought to highlight their homeland’s cuisine, enriched by fond memories of meals shared with family and friends along with the French locales that inspired them.
Brasserie Mon Chou Chou is timeless, authentic, and inviting. Located across from Hotel Emma’s entrance and the nearby Riverwalk, Mon Chou Chou greets passersby with outdoor café-style dining, verdant patios, and a grand brass vestibule. A soft patina of worn, unlacquered fixtures and hardware complements the interior’s hand-painted woods, patterned tiles, and rose-tinted plaster. A curving entryway bar greets all guests with bright white marble, smoky mirrors, and playful deco details. Woven cane seating and plush leather banquettes line the expansive storefronts, providing prime people-watching spots from both inside and out. The brasserie’s eclectic décor and lighting beckon guests with a warmth and familiarity that is comfortable and irresistible.
Mon Chou Chou is a unique and dynamic place buzzing with friends and family sharing meals—like so many who inspired it—resulting in the feeling that it’s been open for years, and all but ensuring it will become an iconic favorite.
