Josh Nieves

AIA | Architect

Josh grew up in upstate New York where he first learned of architecture through fort-building and make-shift tree houses. After receiving his bachelor’s degree at Judson University in Illinois, he spent three years working for regional architecture firms in Seattle and Texas studying and exploring well-crafted, place-based design. Josh completed his master’s degree in architecture at Dalhousie University in Nova Scotia Canada where he received the Student Award of Excellence for his thesis on reclaiming post-industrial landscapes. Josh returned to the warm and beautifully-rugged Texas desert landscape in 2018. Josh loves hiking, camping, furniture making, fort building, and working toward his goal of visiting every U.S. National Park.
