Maple Ye Feng
Project DesignerMaple is originally from Hangzhou, a historic city in China. She has a longstanding passion and appreciation for art and history. After earning her bachelor’s degree in architecture at the University of Sheffield in the UK, Maple worked at an architecture firm in Shanghai. She then moved to the United States to pursue her master’s degree in architecture with emphasis on interior architecture and a certificate in historic preservation from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago (SAIC). While at SAIC, Maple worked as an intern at a preservation architecture firm in Chicago. She believes that cultural context and place memory are critical sources of inspiration in a world of increasing globalization and optimization. In her free time, she enjoys watching theatre shows, reading, traveling, and making bonsai.
