A native Austinite with roots in both Texas and the Bay Area, Maya brings a dynamic mix of operational expertise and creative insight to her role at Clayton Korte. Her diverse background spans general management, communications, curatorial work, and editorial writing—reflecting a career grounded in both structure and storytelling.

Prior to joining the firm, Maya managed operations and communications at Cloud Tree Studios & Gallery, an East Austin art gallery, where she coordinated exhibitions, worked closely with local artists, and led public engagement efforts. She has also contributed to The Austin Chronicle as a writer and held a leadership role at local favorite Birds Barbershop, overseeing their South Austin locations.

Maya thrives at the intersection of creativity and organization—known for her ability to bring clarity and direction to complex ideas. She is connected to Austin’s art and design communities and values the city’s ongoing commitment to supporting local talent. Her passion lies in helping creative teams turn vision into reality, always with attention to detail. Outside of work, Maya enjoys listening to live music at the numerous nearby festivals and shows.
